Race 8

Another Great day at Fly MX Park and there were several good racers came out to support us! We are so glad that you came out today. The weather and the Track were excellent.

Jim Roth and Tres Campbell were in rare form today in the Super-Mini Class. The first moto was a close one with both riders leading several times before the final flag. However, the second moto was the final word with Jim finding something extra to come away with the overall for the day.

I always enjoy watching the 50cc Classes, these little guys are so intense when they race. Michael "Mad Mike" Yoker not only got the win in the 7-8 age group 50cc Class but he also won the 65cc Class today. Ronnie "The Monster" Dentz was no slacker on the Track, he was definitely turning some good lap times.

We got to watch a "Perfect Storm" today on the Track. Cole Smith treated the crowd to one of his "Wired Flag-to-Flag" rides today. I would have to say it probably one of his most perfect rides at Fly MX Park! He hit the double-triple perfect every time, the whoop section looked as though it didn't exist when he passed over it and I do mean "over" it because his bike seemed to float through this section of track in overdrive. Lastly, he was hitting the triple-triple section; first time I have ever noticed him do the triple-triple. This wouldn't be an extraordinary ride for an "A" rider, but you must remember Cole Smith was doing all of these amazing feats on an 85cc Yamaha in the Mini-Senior Class. It was half-way through the next moto before I could close my mouth! I should mention he not only did all of the above mentioned things in the first moto, but every lap of both motos! Cole doesn't ride at Fly every race, but, when he is here, it is worth your walk from the pits to trackside to see him ride.

We are so blessed with so many great, talented riders at Fly MX. It seems there are plenty of riders in every class that are always worth watching for no other reason then you can pick up some excellent riding techniques by watching and absorbing. The other great thing is that we have riders of all age groups to "Show the Way". After watching riders like Adam Campbell and Guy Longwell and Jamie Burton and Billy Burton, no one from any age group has an excuse to say "I am too old to race". This group of elite riders at our track have many years of experience and talent and they fit into many different age groups. It just goes to show you that Motocross is for all ages (and Genders). If you are looking for the perfect exercise program, get a MX bike, attend "Big Guy's MX School" and join this group of elite riders in their respective classes for some great "Bar-to-Bar" Action!

HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE NEXT RACE!
