Race 8
June 26, 2011

It was another damp day at Fly MX Park. It looked like a good day until it rained during the first Moto. Then it became pretty greasy. We still had a good day, with lots of good competition!

Hunter Lavy was flying in the 65cc and the Mini-Junior classes today, he got the wins in both classes with ease. Jaedon Walraven took second in both of the same races. It turns out these two are the leaders in the points standing in both of these classes. Hunter is the leader of the 65cc Class and Jaedon is the leader of the Mini-Junior Class. The points difference between these two riders is very close in both classes and could get interesting as the season winds down.

Steven Glendenning got the win today in the 250cc C and the Open Classes today. Steven got tangled up with another rider during the start of the second moto in the Open C class and was dead last going into the first lap. He managed to catch the pack within a lap or so and he ended up winning by a good margin. He is our current points leader in both of these classes.

Kholton Haney took first in the 125cc B-C Class today. I believe he is a new rider at the track. Deron Glass got TWO solid seconds today, one in the 125cc B-C Class and one in the 125cc School Boy Class. Good rides today Deron! Garrett Coe got the win in the School Boy and the Super-Mini Classes.

Speaking of mini classes, Hobie Howiler won the Mini-Senior Class and took second in the Super-Mini Class. Both were good rides today! Congratulations Hobie! Hobie is currently the season points leader in the Mini-Senior and Super-Mini Classes.

The continued excellent entertainment in the Open A and 25+ A Classes has not diminished; Cody Longwell and Billy Burton traded wins in these two classes today. We as the audience still get our monies worth watching these two gentlemen.

Once again we had the three "Coat of Paint" guys competing in the Quad Am Class. Travis Blake got the win with Michael Bragg second and Travis Blake in third. If you are uncertain as to what I mean by "Coat of Paint" just watch this class at the next race and you will see for yourself. There is barely a coat of paint diffenrence in their position on the track at any given time, its as if their quads have been welded together. My prediction is these guys will be close all season.

Well, on to the next race. I hope everyone had a good time and will be back. If you haven't seen our new anouncers tower, stop up and check it out. We are in the process of making a new sign up building underneath the tower. It will be awhile before it is complete. A new page of pictures has been posted. I am working on the Father's Day pictures page.
