Race 6
September 8, 2013

It was a good day for a race, the weather was perfect and we had a good turnout. The track was in perfect condition. The race year is quickly winding down. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves this year. We have one more race on the 20th of October and then the Awards Day in November. Hope everyone can make it.

We had an excellent battle in the Open A and Open B classes. They were combined today. Steven Glendenning (Open B) and Josh Davis (Open A) were in a heated battle till the very end. Steven blasted off the line and led for the entire race in the first moto, Josh got by him on the very last lap. Steven looked very fast today. Extremely entertaining today guys, this kind of race is what makes watching Motocross so exciting. The other thing that made this race so fun was both riders were on two-strokes, the real motocross bikes. Jeremy Harper was looking good in the Open A class until he did a tank slapper in the rollers after the tunnel Jump. He hit really hard and was knocked out for a while. Hopefully no concussion was involved.

The 40+ Class had lots of position swaps. Joe Dutton led for a while, Neil Weekly led for a while, and I think Guy might have led. Guy stalled a couple of times and I think Neil Weekly went down. No one had a good first moto except Joe. In the end Neil Weekly got the overall for the day.

Guy Longwell got the overall in the 50+ Class.

Cole Crow got the win in the 250 C class and Deron Glass got a solid second. Andrew Adamson threw everything but the kitchen sink at Deron trying to get around him. He tried passing on the outside, over jumps, the inside, you name Andrew tried it. Deron never flinched, he stayed solid and ran his race.

Bryan Huggins may be losing his "Wild Man" moniker. Not only did he get the win today in the Quad Amateur Class, but he did it in complete control. He rode a very good even race. Nice ride Bryan!

Don't forget to check out the new page of pictures and the Father's Day Page. Our last race of the season is coming soon. Hope to see you there!
