RACE

It was a
nice day for a race today. We had a good turnout and lots of close
racing. The track was in nice shape.
Cole Maston was flying in the first moto of the Open A class
today and took the win. However, he didn't have as good of a second
moto. I didn't see the wreck, but I heard the noise over the six
pack in time to look up and see his bike tumbling. When the dirt
settled Cole was up limping toward his bike to try to re-mount, but
when he picked it up, half of his handlebars were missing. There
would be no finish for Cole. Not a good day for the Maston Camp, I
hope he is OK.
Joe Clark definitely ate his Wheaties today. He blasted off
the line in the first moto and led the entire 40+ class from start
gate to finish flag! No looking back, no slowing down! Guy got his
second wind in the second moto and took the win, but Joe Clark
ended up with second overall for the day. Nice Ride Joe!
The
battle in the 250 C class between Jim Roth and Ben Cunningham was
very close and enjoyable to watch today. Unfortunately Ben crashed
so we didn't get to see the final result. Jim Roth took the overall
win.
Brain Adamson walked away with another decisive win today in
the Open C class. Unless something drastic happens, he is a lock to
win the Championship this year. He is currently leading the points
standings by 30 points.
Bryan Huggins and Jeremy Phemester are in a very close
battle for the overall Championship in the Quad Amateur class.
Bryan took the win today which opened up his lead a little to 72 to
68. the last two races of the season should prove interesting
between these two.
It was good the see the Taggart's back at the track. Since
they were here last both Cody and Maya have gained speed.
Their lap time seem greatly improved and Cody is now riding
two classes, both the 50 and 65 classes.
Don't forget, to be eligible for the Championship this year,
you must ride at least 6 of the total 7 races at Fly MX Park. Also,
all 7 races count this year, this is no "Best-of 7". There are only
two races left this year.
