First time in the last three years: WE HAD GREAT WEATHER ON
OPENING DAY! Not only did we have great weather, we had an
excellent turnout, 80 riders. We couldn't ask for a better 10th
Anniversary at Fly MX Park. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone
that helped make Sunday such a good day at the track! I don't
remember such a large percentage of new riders at Fly MX Park on
opening day, welcome to all of you. I hope everyone had a good day
and will race the entire season with us this year. We have a total
of six races this season and you must race at least five to be
eligible to win a Championship Trophy. However, all six races will
count towards the final points.
I have to say it was good to see young Longwell back on the
track. He looked good considering he took a year off from racing.
His top speed was a bit off, but his technique still looked
good.
On of our top stars of the day was Jim Roth, he won every
class he entered. He walked away with First Place in the Super-Mini
Class, the 250cc C Class and the Open C Class. Not a bad days work!
It's a good thing he wasn't eligible to race in many other classes
or the other riders wouldn't much of a chance.
It was good to see Kason and the entire Melchiori Clan at the
track today. Kason looked really good out there today. Hopefully
Kason will spend the season with us. He took second today in the
Open B Class, not too bad considering he hasn't been here much in
the last couple of years.
A new rider at Fly MX Park took the win in the Mini-Junior
Class today. Tyler Capane was flying today, as was Bradon Holdren
and Donovan Sante who took second and third respectfully. The
Mini-Senior Class was won by Nicky Mustoe today, who also looked
good in the Super-Mini Class.
Steven Glendenning hasn't lost a step over the Winter, he took
First in the Open B Class and Third in the College Boy Class even
though he had to ride a borrowed bike. The Hewetson Brothers were
in fine shape today, they finished Fourth and Fifth in the Open B
Class and Craig won the College Boy Class.
The Quad Amateur Class had full gate today, lots of
action to be had. One of the most loyal Fly MX Park riders took the
overall win in this class. Wiatt Blake has probably ridden as many
races at this track as anybody, including his brother Travis and
Guy Longwell. These three riders have more miles on the track as
anybody in the ten years of operation. Wiatt took the win today and
a new rider Tyler Skelton got second. Jeremy Phemester looked good
bringing home Third.
"Rocket" Ray Richards hit the track today in the Quad Vet +30
Class today, good to see you back Ray! Kevin Wilson took the
overall win, he looked like there was no break at all in the racing
(for a very crappy Winter). His speed was just as it was last
season.
Jacob Visnic took the win in the Quad Junior Class today with
Alex Wallace taking Second on his new Suzuki Quad.
Bryan "Wild Man" Huggins was hauling in the Quad Pro Class
today. The win came easily for him.
We had a Great Day at the track, there are five more races
left this season. Hope to see everyone on Sunday May 4th for the
next race.
