RACE 1
4-14-2013

Off to a good start! Perfect weather, lots of riders, track pristine, MANY new faces (both riders and workers) and Guy on a NEW 2013 KTM 450 SXF courtesy of HOMETOWN HONDA/KTM. Also, we had many return riders we haven't seen in a couple of years. It just felt right today!

Caden Florence was flying today in the Mini-Senior and Super Mini Classes. He is off to a great start with first places in both classes. It was good to see Hunter Lavy back after an absence last year.

Dylan Anderson appears faster then I ever remember. He made quick work of the Mini-Junior class.

Jay Kinder picked up where he left off last year by dominating the 250cc C Class. No one seemed to be able to keep him in sight. But, as fast as he was in the 250 C Class, he had to give it up to Dakota Godines in the 250 School Boy Class. Dakota came away with 1st today in that class.

The 250cc B Class was a blast from the past! Steven Glendenning came away with the win. But, the most interesting part of that class was all of the other riders that participated today. Not only was Chase Brown and the Hewetson brothers, Craig and James at the track; but, Kason Melchiori was back in action and took second overall!

The Trail Bike 110 Class had a couple of new riders who gave a good showing of themselves. Trevor Miller and Noah Palmer both rode well with Trevor getting the win.

The Quad classes looked like they will be very competitive this season. Wiatt Blake took the win in the Quad Am, Travis Blake won the Quad Pro, Matt Moore got the win in the Quad College Boy, Kevin Wilson won the Quad Vet +30 class, and Alex Wallace won the Quad 80-110 Class. We had a good day for Quads. Track was very good shape with not much dust.

Don't forget this season , we only have 7 races. You must ride in at least 6 to be counted for the 2013 Championship Trophy. Sorry for the mix up on the discount coupons, Guy had them at the track, but he forgot to give them to Roberta to hand out. You can pick them up at the next race on May 19th. Hope to see everyone then!!
